Mr. Anderson, as much as it pains me to say this, I agree with you on this issue!! Mr. Garrison has done a wonderful job for the growth of Barrow Co. and I believe, as time will tell, will be missed. Great job Mr. Garrison. Just curious Mr. Anderson, how do you feel about the talks on privatising the airport? Do you agree with this?
Mr. Brogan,
The issue of possible private sector ownership of the airport is a hot button issue now, as it has been in the past when the subject has come up from time to time.It will be interesting to see how Mr.Yearwood and the new commissioners choose to approach this possibility.
To answer your question, I would be in favor of any process that would have a favorable net revenue impact on service and operational expenses, while minimizing the impact on surrounding residential and agricultural properties.
As a pro-growth proponent I often find myself in direct conflict with many citizens groups, who hold a different view on the growth subject.
Merry Christmas to you and your family.

I thouhgt this would be your response, and again, I agree with you on this issue. I wish you would return to the BCW blog and respond to some of the (well let's just say less intelligent) reasons as to why this should not be done. Merry Christmas to you and yours, Mr. Anderson. God Bless.
Mr. Brogan,
Per your request and other frequent readers of this site, I posted comments relating to the airport issue last week. As usual, because I backed Doug Garrison during the election and campaigned for him in a high profile manner, I put myself at odds with the CCOBC and the BCW blog site participants, which results in removal of any post I make, regardless of topic.
Of course, when pressed to explain their reasons for the removal of my posts, they spew their totalitarian rules and regulations listed at the beginning of the site. This is typical of "Our way is the only way" mentality offered by these groups.
It is clear that I am one of the few citizens in this county that is willing to stand up to these citizen groups and offer opposing viewpoints which of course, they will have no part of. But,I will continue to challenge some of the opinions and platforms they feel should be implemented in our county regardless of opinions to the contrary by other citizens. In my view, censorship is censorship no matter how cleverly it is packaged or explained. Sorry I wasn't able to be of more assistance.
Until next time....................
