“I have helped accomplish more in 22 months than has been accomplished here in Winder in 22 years,” Mr. Dixon said in a You Tube interview on Election Day. If you believe that, then your choice on Dec. 3 is clear.
Factor in that what is at stake in this Run-Off is 1 of 6 seats on the Winder City Council, that the power of 1 councilman is limited, that we have a mayor and that it is the city administrator who directs day to day operations, then it makes sense to consider the option before casting your vote.
Lorin is a creative problem-solver who offers our city new ideas, fresh vision and a woman’s perspective. She will bring increased energy and renewed vitality to the Winder City Council.
Lorin’s experiences working in healthcare, education, as a small business owner and as a local newspaper reporter have taught her the ability to work hard and face challenges with caring efficiency and ever-evolving skills. Lorin understands when to lead, and when compromise and contributing through a team effort is the best course. She communicates clearly; she is approachable and listens carefully.
The incumbent has served his community well, and for many years. There is a time, however, when it becomes time for the next generation to step up and begin to serve. If you believe that time has come for Winder, your choice on Dec. 3 is also clear.
Lorin’s supporters believe now is the time to bring positive change to the Winder City Council. She joins them in asking for your vote, this Tuesday, Winder Community Center, 7 a.m.-7 p.m. This is going to be a close race and EVERY VOTE WILL COUNT.
