Take Me To Post Comment Form

This information is for those of you (me included:-) who have been posting questions as to the legal, legislative, and governance of laws in Georgia.

The Official Code of Georgia Annotated or O.C.G.A. is the compendium of all laws in the U.S. state of Georgia. Like other U.S. state codes, its interpretation is subject to the United States Constitution, the United States Code, the Code of Federal Regulations, and the State's Constitution. To access this page google: what is O.C.G.A.
Click on first listing: OCGA- wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Next page click on: Official Code of Georgia Annotated.
(You can also access the U.S. Constitution, United States Code, Code of Federal Regulations, and the State's Constitution from the wiki site and paragraph listed above once you access this site.)

For access to O.C.G.A.
Google: O.C.G.A.
Click on first listing:
Official Code of Georgia Annotated
www.lexis-nexis.com/hottopics/gacode

This will take you to the Lexis-Nexis search engine and you will see the box appear, read this and click on OK-Close.
You will see the list of Titles and Provisions for these titles.(i.e. Title 20 governs Education.)

If you scroll over the + sign a window will open and show the level of listings. I would
just open up all levels of listings.
A page will appear that has all Titles , General Provisions, Articles etc. You can click on your choice and you will be taken to the" cite" as it is writen into laws.

gamom, I am so happy that you are posting this info. I did not know about the specific code of 15009. I am thrilled that someone is voluntarily taking their time to help other parents and get this info. out here to us.

I don't think 15009 has been challenged in the 11th circuit court..yet though. I have been trying to find that out. It has been upheld in 2 other courts of appeals from what I have read. I am sure an attorney would know, of which I am not one...:)
