Can you believe it's already that time of year again? My calendar is already filled up with Christmas parties, teas, shopping and travel.
I literally have no free weekend until Jan. 17.
It's all fun stuff, but life just never seems to slow down for us.
Not only do we have Thanksgiving and Christmas this year, but my Birthday is in December and five days after my Birthday, I'm finally graduating from Gainesville State College (GSC) with a degree in Journalism.
My success will be short lived, as I'm off to UGA to study magazine and photography more in depth come January.
Thanksgiving weekend (after we return home from travel on Saturday) marks our annual trip to the Dillard House with my family to have breakfast and then chop down our own tree. (My dad is Clark W. Griswold for those of you who don't know.)
The next Saturday is my sister's annual Christmas tea, one of my favorite traditions. She spoils all us girls.
The Next Saturday I graduate and then celebrate!!
Then, on the 20th, my brother and his wife are throwing a Christmas bash at their place, which means it might not end until the following day.
Then, of course, there is Christmas weekend. We bounce around from family to family and then try to have some decent one-on-one time with our kids.
Things don't slow down then ...
In January I'm already booking meetings for work and other activities.
There's UGA orientation for me the first week and the next week is a bouldering competition at Boat Rock that I'm hoping to write a feature on, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
So, it looks like I'll be starting the new year off the same as the last year has been.
Busy, busy, busy!
It's ok though. I seem to like it that way. And I only listed the weekends, there is always work parties, shopping, school and church functions to keep us plenty busy during the week.
Not to mention homework, finals, work and day-to-day living.
Tis the season everybody, the season to be busy.
