The former Blink 182 drummer and Goldstein are set to headline New Year’s Nation’s Los Angeles New Year’s Eve Party at The Lot in West Hollywood.
Barker and Goldstein survived a horrific plane crash on Sept. 20, following a free concert they performed for thousands of college students in Columbia, S.C. The show included performances by Gavin DeGraw and Perry Farrell, former Jane’s Addiction singer.
The concert is said to have drawn in about 10,000 people.
The plane, which was carrying six people, departed shortly before midnight Sept. 19, when air traffic controllers reported seeing sparks. The plane crashed off the end of a runway and landed a quarter-mile away on an embankment of a five-lane highway.
The plane was engulfed in flames and Barker and Goldstein are said to have survived because they climbed onto the right wing of the flaming jet and immediately began flailing their arms and putting the fire out.
A witness’s account of the event said that Goldstein put out the flames on himself pretty quickly, but Barker was still engulfed. Because Barker had no time to run across the highway, he was said to have stripped naked of his burning clothes with Goldstein's help.
The friends were treated at a burn center in Augusta Georgia following the accident, before being transferred to a hospital in Columbia.
The crash killed Barker’s two assistants, Chris Baker, 29, and Charles Still, 25. Pilot Sarah Lemmon, 31 and copilot James Bland, 52, were also killed in the crash.
The plane was headed for Van Nuys California and was owned by Global Exec Aviation.
Reports say Barker is suing Bombardier Inc., Clay Lacy Aviation and Goodyear Tire and Rubber, in connection with the plane crash.
The lawsuit, which was filed in L.A. County Superior Court by Barker and the mother of Still, claims that one or more of the tires failed, leaving debris on the runway and ultimately causing the jet to crash.
Barker is most famous for his work with the multi-platinum-selling band Blink 182, with its album "Enema of the State" selling more than 5 million copies in the U.S.
Barker currently plays with +44 and owns a restaurant and clothing line. He starred in the reality hit TV show "Meet the Barkers" with his former wife, Miss USA, Shanna Moakler and they have two children.
Barker then had a brief romance with Paris Hilton.
Goldstein has scratched on albums for Will Smith, Madonna and Papa Roach and owns the popular LA club Lax. He was previously engaged to Nicole Richie and following their break-up, he dated singer and actress Mandy Moore.
The duo will have their first performance following the crash on New Years Eve in Los Angeles and the performance will be broadcast on the Internet and other New Year’s Nation’s Parties across the U.S.
The pair go by TRVSDJAM.
