Saving lives I mean. The recent launch of (RED)WIRE, a digital online magazine that brings members articles, photos, videos, exclusive music downloads and a peek into Africa, is just one of the avenues that Bono is using to help save lives.
(RED) WIRE was launched on Dec. 1, World AIDS Day, and bands such as The Killers, Coldplay, Jay-Z and John Legend are among the names of artists contributing to the magazine.
This is not Bono’s (Paul David Hewson) first venture either. The popular music artist from Dublin, Ireland, who is the main vocalist for U2, launched DATA (Debt AIDS Trade Africa, http://www.data.org/) in 2002 and that merged with the ONE Campaign, (http://www.one.org/), that aims to raise public awareness about the issues of global poverty, hunger, disease and efforts to fight such problems.
(RED) WIRE is a byproduct of the already grounded (Product) RED label, which aims to raise awareness about AIDS in Africa and gives a portion of its proceeds to Global Fund (http://www.theglobalfund.org/en/).
Some of the most sought after brands have teamed with (RED), such as Starbucks, Hallmark, GAP and Emporio Armani.

Super cool. The Starbucks across the street from the entrance to the Mall of GA will take your picture for you in front of the "red" display so you can send it in!
