Disability Services Expo & Mini-Conference

Description:

A Disability Services Expo & Mini-Conference entitled “Your Filling Station for Disability Resources” will be held Saturday, Feb. 27, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Classic Center in Athens. The Northeast Georgia Transition Team and the Georgia Council for Exceptional Children are co-sponsoring expo and mini-conference for children and adults with disabilities. This event will be held in collaboration with the Georgia Council for Exceptional Children’s annual conference also being held at The Classic Center during the same time frame. Parents and caretakers are also invited to attend information sessions that will focus on the education of children with disabilities in the classroom. Admission is free. Information will be provided on topics of interest to persons with disabilities and their families, including education, employment, support groups, transportation, rehabilitation, recreation, medical equipment and supplies, home modifications, insurance, health care financing and more.
