Target – marking its first Christmas season of business at Barrow Crossing – played host to the 10th annual Shop With a Cop program on Saturday, Dec. 5.
Twenty-five children, ranging in age from 4 to 13, were matched with law enforcement and, with lists in hand, traveled by patrol cars with blue lights and sirens to Target for their shopping spree. Target assisted with selections, gift wrapping and refreshments. Manager Jerry Thurmond was busy taking photographs and made a picture of each child and their officer.
Donations are already coming in for next year, said Love, who complimented the excitement with which Target employees embraced the program.
