The Winder Woman’s Club’s fifth annual “Taste of Winder,” held May 1 at the Winder Community Center, was a very successful event. Eight restaurants served it up at The Taste of Winder this year including Fatz Café, Shane’s Rib Shack, La Luna Mexican Grill, Little Havana Café, Johnny’s New York Style Pizza, The Magnolia Place, Sara Jo’s and Barrow Regional Hospital. “There was an abundance of food, education and fun available for all,” said chairman Carol Marino, who thanked the Masonic Lodge #333 for the CHIP Program available to families interested in safeguarding their cihldren and the Relay for Life Teams holding a yard sale at the Winder Pavilion. Nonprofit and for profit vendors were also part of this event. As the Winder Woman’s Club continues to celebrate its 90th year, tickets will be sold until Nov. 6 for chances to win a quilt created by club member Pam Veader and her mother. Tickets are $1 each or seven for $5. An open house will be hosted Nov. 6 at the clubhouse to help celebrate the 90th anniversary. The drawing will be held at that event
