Taps was sounded at Rose Hill Cemetery on Memorial Day as JROTC cadet Matt Schramm sounded the memorial tribute on his trumpet. The music closed the special service hosted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1187 and its Ladies Auxiliary. Here are some scenes, photographed by LeAnne Akin, of the ceremony which will hopefully become an annual tribute the those who sacrificed their lives for freedom.
